Mechanical Contractors Association of Akron

The Mechanical Contractors Association of Akron is an organization dedicated to serving the needs of area union contractors who install heating, ventilation, air conditioning, process piping and refrigeration units. Our members include large contractors who work from coast-to-coast as well as small specialized contractors who work on a regional level. We believe our association's strength rests in the diversity of our membership base.

Active membership in the MCA of Akron is limited to contractors who are signatory to the UA Local Union #219 which covers Summit, Medina and Portage counties. However, those companies who are interested in belonging to the MCA of Akron who also serve our contractors may apply for Associate membership. For information about the benefits concerning Associate status, please call our office.

We feel our members get more from their membership in the MCA than most organizations. We arm our members with regulatory information that is topical and relevant to conducting business in these often turbulent times. In addition to staying current, we play a crucial role in developing the skilled workforce of tomorrow by shaping the apprenticeship and journeymen training program through Local Union #219. These are just a few of the benefits our members have come to expect to receive from the MCA of Akron.
